Starting today we have the Women’s Amundi Evian Championship, and we are looking at our top 5 contenders for the event. Now saying that, when looking at our previous predictions for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championships last month you will see how far off we were. Two of our top 5 didn’t make the cut and only one, Jennifer Kupcho who finished T16 placed in the top 40. Now saying that we think with the predictions below we are onto a winner, with our top 5 contenders being:
Last weekend the US Women’s Open held at Southern Pines, North Carolina saw Australian Minjee Lee take home not only the The Harton S. Semple Trophy but claiming the winner’s cheque of $1.8 million dollars. It was the first time ever, the top three finishers at the U.S. Women’s Open all received at least $685,000.
The US PGA Championship will be commencing next week at the Southern Hills Championship Course in Tulsa, USA. This fine course boasts many years of golf history with the first men’s major championship taking place there in 1958, when it hosted the U.S Open. Since then, it has hosted an additional 6 Major Championships with Tiger Woods winning the last event The Southern Hills hosted, which was the PGA Championship in 2007.
