Play More Golf Price Increase 2023 Explained

As a business one of our core values is to ensure not only is golf inclusive for all, but also is affordable.

The last year has seen significant price increases both for membership prices and green fees with an average planned golf membership price increase of 7% for 2023. This up from an average membership price rise of 4% for 2021 and a substantial 29% for green fees last year.

Whilst we have tried to absorb as much of these price rises over the past three years since our last price rise in 2020, we now need to also increase our prices on behalf of clubs by a corresponding 7% for 2023.  This will see the value of a point rise by 25p to £3.75 from £3.50.

The new pricing will be live from April 1st 2023 – therefore any memberships bought or renewed prior to this date will lock in the current point value pre the price rise.  This will lock in the current price up to your next renewal price, so whilst it is unfortunate, we have to increase prices, we can enable members to lock in at last year’s prices up until the end of March.

We will be introducing shortly a new calculator for members and prospective new members that will show the cost equivalent of their round of golf in monetary terms – so members can check the value they receive as a points members compared to buying green fees.

We will also be announcing during the season a number of exciting new brand partnerships and such as Motocaddy, Bushnell and Payntr Golf plus new competitions, prizes and live leaderboards that will enable you to play against each other.  In addition we will also be adding new courses with interest from clubs to work with PlayMoreGolf starting to increase once again.

We believe 2023 will be our best season yet – providing value to members both on and off the course.   As always, should need any further information do not hesitate to contact our customer service team who can assist you with all aspects of your membership.
