Well, it’s almost the end of another very busy year. By now, we expect that your gifts are wrapped, stockings stacked, and fridge packed in preparation for Christmas day. Golf Events in the UK 2019

 

April 2019 England V Spain Formby Golf Club

This year the England v Spain biennial mixed match is being held at Formby Golf Club, where the Amateur Championship has been played on four occasions. This two-day match has five foursomes and ten singles each day. Past players include Tommy Fleetwood Justin Rose, Pablo Larrazabal, David Howell, Alvaro Quiros, and Ignacio Garrido. Spectator entry is free.

May 2019 British Masters

Hillside Golf Club will play host to the British Masters tournament in 2019. Eddie Pepperell is the defending champion following his victory at Walton Heath in 2018 with a winning score of nine under par. Get your tickets here.

August 2019 England Golf Medal Final – Seeking Female Competitors

England golf are searching for the female English Handicap Golfer of the Year. If you were the 2018 England Golf Women’s Medal winner at your club, click here to discover how you could be on your way to the England Golf National Medal Final.

September 2019 BMW PGA Championships

New Golf Rules From January 1st 2019

The R&A and USGA have released new golf rules which will come into effect from 1st January 2019. New rules include a relaxed dropping procedure, a removal of a penalty when a ball is at rest but is accidentally moved and reduced time for ball search. R&A To Invest £2million in Junior Golf Over The Next Four Years

An exciting time to be a junior golfer, this month R&A pledged an investment of £2Million towards junior golf for the coming four years. A revived interest in golf amongst younger generations is the primary aim, paving the way for more than 15,000 young people to become golf club members in the future. Both Male and Female Golfers To Represent England in Australia For The First Time

For the first time, a mixed gender squad considering of six players will represent England in a 2019 tour of Australia. Players will include Cara Gainer who represents Oxfordshire, Emily Toy, from Cornwall, Bailey Gill and David Hague of Yorkshire, Ben Jones of Northamptonshire and Tom Sloman of Somerset.
